By allowing the making of payments online, the fire department lose money from your payment in the transaction/processing fees. These fees start to add up and are taking money away from the fire departments. In order to ensure the fire departments get the full amount of your payment, we must add the processing fee to your payment amount (the fees are 2.9% + $.30 for the amount paid).
